Tomorrows UniCredit residency and production award
Tomorrows UniCredit residency and production award è il nuovo e prestigioso premio sostenuto da UniCredit, ideato, organizzato e promosso da Urbs Picta con la collaborazione di Fondazione Cariverona, Contemporanea - Università di Verona, Veronafiere S.p.A., nell’ambito dell’articolato progetto TOMORROWS – Notes on the future of the Earth, presentato all’interno di ArtVerona 2023 e volto a portare l’attenzione sulla relazione tra arte e sostenibilità.
Il contest creativo prevede l’aggiudicazione di un Premio di residenza e produzione al fine di promuovere la sperimentazione tra arte e scienza attraverso la collaborazione con scienziati, antropologi o esperti di ecologia e sostenibilità. Si rivolge ad artiste e artisti o collettivi, rappresentati dalle gallerie partecipanti ad ArtVerona, invitati a proporre un progetto di ricerca transdisciplinare, finalizzato alla produzione di un’opera d’arte e incentrato su soluzioni creative e non convenzionali rispetto alle attuali problematiche ambientali, economiche e sociali, come la tutela della biodiversità, la rigenerazione urbana, la rivalutazione del territorio, l’energia pulita o i processi di riciclaggio innovativi.
Grazie al contributo assegnato, la vincitrice o il vincitore potrà sviluppare il progetto durante un periodo di studio e ricerca in Italia e/o all’estero, presso l’istituzione, l’ente o il centro di ricerca dichiarato in fase di candidatura, che consentirà agli artisti di entrare in contatto con differenti esperienze culturali e scientifiche, per procedere poi alla produzione finale di un’opera o di un ciclo di opere, da presentare in occasione dell’edizione di ArtVerona 2024, che entrerà a far parte della prestigiosa UniCredit Art Collection.

Il premio, del valore pari a 20.000,00 euro, sarà attribuito da una giuria composta da selezionati artisti, curatori, direttori artistici, esperti e studiosi di fama internazionale.

Tomorrows UniCredit residency and production award
Tomorrows UniCredit residency and production award is the new and prestigious award supported by UniCredit, conceived, organized and promoted by Urbs Picta with the collaboration of Fondazione Cariverona, Contemporanea - University of Verona, Veronafiere S.p.A., as part of the articulated project TOMORROWS - Notes on the future of the Earth, presented within ArtVerona 2023 and aimed at bringing attention to the relationship between art and sustainability.
The creative contest involves the awarding of a Residency and Production Prize in order to promote experimentation between art and science through collaboration with scientists, anthropologists or experts in ecology and sustainability. It is aimed at artists or collectives, represented by galleries participating in ArtVerona, invited to propose a transdisciplinary research project, aimed at the production of a work of art and focused on creative and unconventional solutions with respect to current environmental, economic and social issues, such as biodiversity protection, urban regeneration, land revaluation, clean energy or innovative recycling processes.
Thanks to the grant awarded, the winner or winner will be able to develop the project during a period of study and research in Italy and/or abroad, at the institution, institution or research center declared in the application phase, which will allow the artists to come into contact with different cultural and scientific experiences, and then proceed to the final production of a work or a cycle of works, to be presented at the edition of ArtVerona 2024, which will become part of the prestigious UniCredit Art Collection.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:

The prize, worth 20,000.00 euros, will be awarded by a jury composed of selected internationally renowned artists, curators, art directors, experts and scholars.

La giuria / The jury
Clare Brooks, program manager, researcher, curator and cultural producer who has led collaborative R&D programs with artists, technologists, and cultural institutions for more than 10 years. Converging technology, art and science, Clare’s work makes the most important information about our world meaningful to society – through collaborations that engage deeply with science through emerging technologies such as AI as a positive tool for impact across sustainability. Her work at Google Arts & Culture has enabled her to collaborate with influential forces in art, technology, science, and respected institutions, giving her a sizable platform with which to amplify hidden voices and support solution and adaptation projects.
